PennDOT Resurfacing Operations Planned Next Week 

Monday, April 13, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Kaolin Road/Limestone Road between School House Lane and the Delaware State border in Kennett and New Garden townships for paving.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. 

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.

Continuation of ZHB 543: 100-400 Exelon Way (UPI Nos. 62-4-15.2A, 62-4-15.2B, 62-4-15.2C and 62-4-15.2D); zoned C Commercial. Variance relief from Section 240-2003 to reduce both the required parking space size and number of spaces.

ZHB 545: 122 Round Hill Road (UPI No. 62-6-16.35); zoned RR Rural Residential. Special exception as required by Township Zoning Code Section 240-1901.A.2.f to exceed the maximum allowable size for an accessory structure.

ZONING HEARING BOARD

Household Hazardous Waste Collection – April 18, 2026

Chester County residents are invited to safely dispose of household hazardous waste at a collection event on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Technical College High School (Pickering Campus) in Phoenixville.

An appointment is required (limit one per household). This is a no-contact event, and participants must remain in their vehicles while materials are collected from trunks or truck beds.

Please note: Latex paint, alkaline batteries, electronics, and appliances will not be accepted.

Participants must print their registration ticket and display it on their dashboard upon arrival.
