KENNETT TOWNSHIP OF BOARD OF SUPERVISORS The Board of Supervisors will hold a hybrid meeting on Wednesday, December 3rd at 7:00pm in the Public Meeting Room. Items on the agenda include: Recognition of Michael Bontrager with Kennett Township's Medal of Merit and Recognition of Kennett Township Volunteers. The Board will consider adopting 2026 Budget and Ordinance 313: Verizon Franchise Agreement. The Board will also consider the advertisement of Ordinance 314: International Fire Code and International Property Maintenance Code and Ordinance 315: Amending Volunteer Service Tax Credit Procedures. 2025 “SPEAKING OF HISTORY” LECTURE SERIES A free series of talks on local history presented by the Kennett Heritage Center and Kennett Township Historical Commission, made possible by a grant from Hadley. This Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 3 pm in the Kennett Friends Meeting House, 125 W Sickles Street Bruce Mowday & Mark Bowden Talk History Local historian and writer Bruce Mowday will be joined by author and journalist Mark Bowden for a conversation about the inspirations behind Mowday’s extensive body of work on Chester County history. From Andrew Wyeth and General Lafayette to the Brandywine River, a notorious local murder, and the recent global attention on escaped fugitive Danilo Cavalcante—these diverse subjects all reflect Bruce’s enduring fascination with the people, places, and stories that define the region.
