BLUE ENVELOPE PROGRAM: PROMOTING UNDERSTANDING AND SAFETY The Kennett Township Police Department is proud to participate in the Blue Envelope Program, an initiative designed to help individuals on the autism spectrum have safer and more comfortable interactions with law enforcement. Drivers who participate in the program can keep their license, registration, and insurance card in a blue envelope, which discreetly alerts officers that the driver may have difficulty communicating or responding under stress. This simple tool fosters awareness, patience, and mutual understanding, helping to ensure that every traffic stop is handled with care and compassion. Blue envelopes are available free of charge at the Kennett Township Police Department. To schedule a time to pick an envelope up, please contact ktpd@kennett.pa.us or call 610-388-2874.
