MUNICIPAL FACILITY EXPANSION PRESENTATIONAt the last Board of Supervisors meeting, Township staff presented a plan to address the overcrowding in the Township building. The 1st floor of the current building houses the Administration while Police Department is located on parts of the 2nd floor. The current building was constructed at a time when there were only four staff members and approximately 6500 residents with 2,526 housing units. Kennett Township now serves approximately 9300 residents with 3,651 housing. A new Municipal Facility Expansion section of our website has been added with details, links to the meeting video, and a copy of the presentation slide. No decisions were made at the August meeting and questions are welcome. The Board of Supervisors and Township Administration encourage members of the public to email questions@kennett.pa.us or call 610-388-1300. You may also wish to read the coverage in the Chester County Press.
