BOS Recap

Board of Supervisors Meeting Recap:

On Wednesday, February 5th the Board of Supervisors held one of their two monthly meetings. Business items included approval of the bill voucher, a Resolution related to the police accreditation process, and a motion to introduce and advertise an ordinance which would raise the compensation for future members of the Board of Supervisors from $2500/year to $4190 per year. Kennett Fire & EMS Regional Commission Meeting

The Kennett Fire & EMS Regional Commission will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 11th at 5:00pm at the Pocopson Township building.  The agenda can be found here.

The Kennett Township Planning Commission's February 11th meeting has been cancelled as there is no new business to discuss.  Please check the Township Calendar for March's meeting details.  




Homes with History

Homes with History Recap 

On Saturday, February 8th, the Kennett Township Historical Commission presented "Homes with History" with guest speaker Jeffrey Marshall who provided information on how to research historic properties and learn more about the unique history of buildings. We would like to thank the Historical Commission, especially Bob Sheedy and Fredda Pennock, for their work in making this event a reality. It was very well attended and we enjoyed seeing so many members of the community. If you missed Saturday's presentation you can watch the replay HERE.

Kennett Township is seeking a detailed-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our team with daily office operations.  The ideal candidate is proactive, efficient, and able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude. Recycling Reminder

The Recycling Drop Off Center is for residents of Kennett Township ONLY.  Proof of residency may be required.  

Location: The Kennett Township Recycling Center is located at the Township Maintenance Garage, 557 Bayard Road, between Rosedale and Hillendale Roads.

Hours: The recycling and yard waste center is open dawn to dusk Monday through Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to dusk.

Kennett Winterfest

The winter-warming craft beer event the last Saturday in February features over 60 hand selected local and regional craft breweries, food trucks, and live music. You can reserve your tickets here.

RSVP Volunteers is recruiting for a full or part time Bilingual Digital Navigator for a role within a 4-mile radius of Kennett Square. The digital navigator’s work is part of RSVP’s efforts to empower clients to participate fully in accessing education, workforce development and healthcare resources throughout the community. Role requires bilingual proficiency in both Spanish and English. The ideal candidate will be a trusted guide who assists community members with ongoing, individualized support for accessing affordable and appropriate connectivity, affordable internet-capable devices, and coaching in introductory digital skills.
