Happy Birthday Anson B. Nixon: KAPA 2023 Summer Concert Series

KAPA will kick off their 2023 Summer Free Concert Series this Wednesday, June 21, 2023 with a Birthday Celebration! It will be 30 years since Anson B. Nixon Park opened to the Public! DEP declares Drought Watch

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has issued a statewide drought watch. While not required, residents and businesses are encouraged to voluntarily conserve water by reducing their nonessential water use. Tips and fact sheets on reducing water use can be found on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Drought and WaterSense website.

Barkingfield Park Maintenance Update

The Barkingfield Dog Park (Large Dog Pen) is still CLOSED since the grass was taking a while to grow. Please Note: the Small Dog Pen Area is Still OPEN. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we enhance the area for your furry friends.

Moving Updates

The Kennett Library & Resource Center will be fully open to the public on June 26th and the Grand Opening Celebration will take place on August 27th. Save the Date!

The new Kennett Library & Resource Center is only open for holds pick-ups and book returns only! Both book drops are operational and open during regular business hours.

Chester County Broadband Survey

Chester County Government has created a one-minute crucial survey that will identify locations in the county where internet service is either non-existent or extremely limited.

Responses to this survey will provide greater detail on where the broadband shortfalls are within areas of Chester County, giving a clearer picture of the true impact on residents and businesses.

Survey results will assist organizations, internet service providers and municipalities in drafting and submitting the most complete and accurate application for State and Federal broadband expansion dollars. TAKE THE SURVEY
