Kennett Township receives $355,199 in restitution
from sale of home of former Kennett Township Manager
Lisa Moore is under court order to repay Township $3.2 million she stole
KENNETT TOWNSHIP _ Kennett Township received a check in the amount of $355,199.95 in connection with the sale of the home of former Kennett Township Manager Lisa Moore.
The money was turned over to the Township as part of a restitution order entered by Chester County Common Pleas Court Judge David Bortner when Moore pleaded guilty to charges of theft by deception, dealing in unlawful proceeds, forgery, tampering with public records and access device fraud.
Judge Bortner ordered Moore to repay Kennett Township the $3.2 million she stole from Kennett Township. Besides the restitution, Moore is serving a prison sentence of 3 to 10 years and five additional years of probation.
On the day of Moore’s guilty plea, she paid $1.2 million in restitution.
