Dear Kennett Township Residents and Business Owners,
We often get the question of how you can help during this COVID-19 crisis. In response to that, I wanted to share with you that the Kennett Food Cupboard, in partnership with other local organizations, is asking for the community’s help.
The need for food has only increased with this pandemic, so they are asking for donations of shelf-stable food. The collections are taking place at the Kennett YMCA located at 101 Race St. on Wednesdays and Thursdays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Simply pack your donations in the trunk of your car, drive to the Kennett YMCA during collection hours, and someone will come and take the items from your trunk. No need to get out of your vehicle. It’s a curbside donation!
Their top ten requested items are: rice, jelly or jam, peanut butter, canned fish/chicken, canned fruit, canned vegetables, pasta, cereal, tomato sauce, beans and coffee/tea. To see their complete brochure, click

I’m so proud to work for a community as strong as Kennett. I look forward to seeing the ways we can continue to pull together and help each other, even while at a distance.
Thank you and stay safe.
