COVID-19: CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY SHUTDOWN;
CODE ENFORCEMENT ACTIVITIES HALTED
Governor Wolf’s March 19th order has provided further guidance and now shuts down all “non-life sustaining” businesses for the time being. Construction, initially deemed last week as essential, is now shutdown per the Governor’s order.
In order to comply with this order, Kennett Township will not be issuing permits, conducting inspections, or initiating any code enforcement activities beyond emergencies that arise until the order is lifted.
TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS: If you seek to log a complaint regarding such activities you believe is not appropriate under the Governor’s order, please call our administration at 610-388-1300 so that we can investigate as soon as we possibly can under the current circumstances.
Please understand that emergencies could still present the need for construction to take place if it is necessary for the health, safety, or welfare of a person or the community (i.e. hot water heater replacement or broken water pipes)
FOR BUSINESSES: If you seek a waiver from the Governor’s order, please write to this email address: RAemail@example.com
You may also contact the Administration with questions about whether you need to close: firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 1-877-PA-HEALTH and selecting option 1.

List of Businesses: Life Sustaining versus Non-Life Sustaining
We understand these are very challenging times. This will require cooperation and flexibility, and everyone has a role to play. The Township operations will function but in a much more limited capability. Emergency services and vital public services will NOT be affected.
It is important that you follow the recommendations of appropriate health agencies.
Updates about Township operations along with developments on the outbreak will be shared on the Township website and social media platforms.
