Autumn is officially upon us and one of the hallmarks of the season is Halloween and Trick-or-Treating. This year has brought numerous challenges as we have had to reimagine how to work, shop, communicate, learn, and live in the midst of a global pandemic. While we all want normalcy it is important to remember that we are still in the midst of COVID-19.
That said, Kennett Township is leaving the decision to trick-or-treat up to each individual family. Regardless of your decision, please be smart and safe. Stay outdoors to distribute/collect candy, wear cloth masks at all times, hand sanitize often, and stay 6’ away from those not in your family. More CDC guidelines and suggestions can be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/holidays/halloween.html. There is also guidance from Chester County’s Health Department found here: https://www.chesco.org/DocumentCenter/View/60346/Halloween-Guidance-2020-CCHD?bidId=
As a reminder for those of you who decide not to participate in the traditional Trick-or-Treating practices, please leave your porchlight off.
