Municipal Facility Expansion Project

By 2022 it was becoming clear that the Township Administrative staff was outgrowing the current Township Offices, built in 2003. In addition, it was clear that the Police Department space on the second floor of the building was inadequate as a 21st Century police facility. Kennett Township authorized a Feasibility Study in 2024 to examine our options to address our space needs. 

The Feasibility Study by GKO Architects was completed in July 2025. Public presentations and an Open House were conducted from August 2025-October 2025. 

The Kennett Township Board of Supervisors authorized the Design Phase of the project at their November 5, 2025 Meeting.

CURRENT PHASE - Design Phase including Site Survey and Design

During this phase our Engineers will survey the property to look at existing features, including utilities, stormwater components, and topography. The Architect team will revisit the concept plan from the feasibility study to develop the final design and construction documents. Based on community feedback, we will work closely with them to ensure that the most cost effective and efficient floor plan is developed. Police Facility Design Workshop
