If you have an on-site septic system you are required to send in proof that your system was pumped every three (3) years. Please email a copy of the pumping receipt to Michael OBrien or you mail or drop off a copy at our office.
Kennett Township has three (3) sewer districts which are billed quarterly in the arrears. All districts include a 5% penalty for late payments.
Meter District- $75 for the first 5,000 and $11.00 per 1,000 gallons beyond the first 5,000 gallons. Kennett Township relies on 3rd parties to supply water consumption readings. Reading submitted from Chester Water Authority and Kennett Borough for Public Water & Well are sometimes delayed therefore could delay Kennett Townships sewer billing.
Longwood Crossing District: $140 per quarter.
Ashford District: $541 per quarter.
PLEASE REMEMBER, IF YOU WASH YOUR CAR, TOP OFF YOUR POOL OR HAVE A LAWN SPRINKLER/IRRIGATION SYSTEM IN YOUR YARD, IT COUNTS AS SEWER WATER USAGE!
Residents are responsible for repairs to their sewer line from the house to the edge of their property. All lines in the road are the Townships responsibility.
The current connection fee for Kennett Township is $7,316 per EDU (200 gallons per EDU)
