ORDINANCE NO. 180

 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF KENNETT TOWNSHIP, CHESTER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, REGULATING AND RESTRICTING OR PROHIBITING THE OPERATION OF CERTAIN MOTOR VEHICLES WITHIN CERTAIN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS, PROVIDING FOR PLACEMENT OF LOCAL TRAFFIC SIGNS TO GIVE NOTICE THEREOF AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS FOR TRUCK RESTRICTIONS ON CEDARCROFT ROAD

 

          IT HEREBY IS ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Board of Supervisors of Kennett Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, as follows:


Section 1. To relieve hazardous traffic conditions, vehicles exceeding thirty (30) feet in length used primarily for business or industrial purposes hereby are prohibited from operation, except for local delivery, within the following residential areas of the Township:

 

CEDARCROFT ROAD BETWEEN MILL ROAD AND ROUTE 82.

 

Section 2. Proper signs shall be erected and maintained at each entrance to the aforementioned residential areas.


Section 3. Any person operating a vehicle upon a highway or road in violation of the prohibition or restriction herein contained upon summary conviction before any District Magistrate shall be subject to a fine of not more than Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) for each offense.
