ORDINANCE NO. 153

 

 

An Ordinance of the Township of Kennett, Chester County,

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, amending the existing

Agricultural Security Area

 

 

 

            WHEREAS, a proposal for creation of an Agricultural Security Area within Kennett Township was submitted to the Board of Supervisors in accordance with the provisions of the Agricultural Area Security Law, Act 43 of 1981, as amended; and

 

            WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors deemed it appropriate to create the Agricultural Security Area and did so by adopting Ordinance No. 82 on the 19th day of November 1990; and

 

            WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors deemed it appropriate to expand the Agricultural Security Area and did so by adopting Ordinance No. 100 on August 15, 1994.

 

            WHEREAS, the Agricultural Security Area is reviewed on a seven year review period or more frequently as appropriate.

 

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Board of Supervisors of Kennett Township that the existing Agricultural Security Area be revised to include the parcels of land identified in Exhibit “A”, and to delete the parcels of land identified in Exhibit “B”, effective for seven (7) years from the date of adoption, and shall be reviewed every seven (7) years thereafter in accordance with the provisions of the Act.

 

            ADOPTED this 16th day of August, 2004.
