ORDINANCE NO. 138

AN ORDINANCE OF KENNETT TOWNSHIP, CHESTER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, APPOINTING THE ELECTED TAX COLLECTOR AS A DELINQUENT TAX COLLECTOR PURSUANT TO ACT 104 OF 2000

The Board of Supervisors of Kennett Township hereby enacts and ordains the following:

SECTION 1.   Appointment of Delinquent Tax Collector

Pursuant to the authority set forth in Act 104 of 2000, amending the Local Tax Collection Law, the Board of Supervisors of Kennett Township hereby appoints the elected tax collector of Kennett Township as the delinquent tax collector.

SECTION 2.   Powers of Delinquent Tax Collector

The delinquent tax collector shall collect delinquent taxes in accordance with and shall have the same powers, rights, privileges, duties and obligations as set forth in the Public School Code of 1949, 24 P.S. Section 6-686.

ENACTED AND ORDAINED this 21^st day of January 2002.
