Do I need a building permit?
Call the Township building at 610-388-1300 and they will put you in touch with the inspector, Jeff Clark of Gilmore Associates.
How do I report a pothole or a sign that is damaged, missing or obscured from view?
If it is a Township road, call our maintenance garage at 610-444-5130. If it is a State road (Routes 1, 41, 52, 82 and Burnt Mill, Kaolin, Creek, Old Kennett and Spring Mill Roads and E. Cypress, Millers Hill, State, and N. Union Streets) call PennDOT at 610-436-2091.

When is the Township Recycling Center and Yard Debris Disposal Center open?
Located at 557 Bayard Road, between Hillendale and Rosedale Roads, it is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Anyone interested in volunteering to operate the center, please call 610-388-1300.
What subdivisions and/or land development plans are being considered
by the Township?

Do I need a permit to burn debris or limbs?
As of February 28, 2007, there will be no more burning permitted with the exception of mushroom growers to burn boards. All debris must be collected by your trash hauler or disposed of at the Township Maintenance Garage in the dumpster for debris.
What is the number I should call before I dig anywhere on my property?
Call 800-242-1776 to notifiy the PA One Call System. Without this notification, you could be liable for damages you cause to utility services.
How do I register my alarm system?
All alarm systems which initiate automatic calls to fire or police are required to be registered. You may acquire an alarm registration form in person from the Township, or access the form under the "General Information" tab and click on "Forms" to print the form on this website.
Where do I call to report a dog running loose or barking dogs which are causing a nuisance?
